Why it’s important
Sport Horizon:
- responds to changes in the sporting landscape following the COVID-19 pandemic
- maximises the opportunities created by the decade of major sporting events leading up to and including the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games
- lays a foundation for coordinated action across the sport sector and government to deliver high-quality policies and programs.

Who we work with
We developed Sport Horizon with and for the sport sector. We consulted extensively with:
- sport sector, representative groups and academia
- Australian Government agencies
- state and territory governments
- the general public.
Measuring success
We will continue to work with key stakeholders to develop our monitoring and evaluation framework. This will outline how we will measure the success of Sport Horizon across 4 outcome groups:
- Everyone has a place in sport
- We win well to inspire Australians
- A sustainable Australian sport system
- Australia remains a global leader in sport.
