The Rainbow Room recognises people are free to be themselves and treated equitably  regardless of their identity or disability. The diverse range of colours in the rainbow reflects  the diversity of the LQBTIQA+ community and the spectrum of gender and sexual  identities. 

The rainbow colours also represent the variety of abilities and experiences of  neurodiverse people. By naming this room we intend to create an inclusive environment  that provides a sense of belonging to all staff and reflects the diverse public the  department serves. 

The Rainbow Room has been named jointly by the Health Pride  Network, Disability and Carers Network (DCN) and the Gender and Equality Network  (GEN).
