Review of National Aged Care Quality Regulatory Processes Report

This report presents the findings of the 2017 independent review of aged care regulatory processes. It includes 10 recommended actions to improve the regulation of quality in aged care.

The 2017 review of national aged care regulatory processes was in response to the failures at the Oakden Older Persons Mental Health Service in South Australia.

The review report includes 10 recommended actions to improve processes and is divided into 2 parts:

  • Part 1 describes the current regulatory system in Australia
  • Part 2 looks at how we can improve quality regulatory processes
