7 April 2025 - This webinar provided an introduction to the new Australian National Aged Care Classification (AN-ACC) which will replace the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI), the AN-ACC shadow assessment process, provider support services, basic daily fee reporting requirements and changes to the aged care.

1 November 2024 - The Schedule of Service Items and Fees outlines the requirements related to services. The remaining COVID-19 special arrangements cease permanently from 1 January 2022. Non-compliant claims for services will be required to be reimbursed to the Commonwealth.

29 January 2025 - The Life Saving Drugs Program (LSDP) Expert Panel considers all applications to list new medicines on the LSDP. The panel assesses medicines and advises the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) about listing medicines. It also reviews medicines already on the program.

12 January 2025 - This initiative reduces outstanding Higher Education Loan Program (HELP) debt for eligible doctors and nurse practitioners who live and work in rural, remote or very remote areas of Australia.

27 November 2024 - This initiative will trial new and innovative models of care. It aims to bring together resources across the health and care sectors to ensure people in rural, remote and First Nations communities can get the services they need.

16 April 2025 - The Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) Review Advisory Committee (MRAC) supports the MBS Continuous Review to ensure the MBS is contemporary, sustainable, evidence based, and supports universal access to high value care for all Australians.

6 April 2025 - Under the first stage of the 60-day dispensing policy, eligible Australians living with chronic health conditions will have access to 92 cheaper Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) medicines.
