13 September 2024 - Some clients pay for some of the DSOA services they access – this is called a client contribution. When clients moved to DSOA, their contributions remained unchanged – they continued to pay the same contributions that they were paying before moving.

1 November 2011 - These arrangements describe how we respond to national health emergencies. It covers how the various Australian health sector authorities work together to respond to these situations. They are part of the Australian Government’s National Security Framework.

13 November 2025 - The Health Ministers Meeting (HMM) works to progress health issues of national importance which require cross-border collaboration. It is made up of the health ministers of each state and territory government, along with the Australian Government Minister for Health and Aged Care.

31 October 2025 - The Australian Government reduces the subsidy paid to residential aged care providers in certain cases. Providers won’t receive the total subsidy if an aged care resident pays some types of means tested fees.

16 December 2025 - These resources can help aged care assessors understand what has changed and how to put and how changes will impact them under the new Aged Care Act into practice.

18 December 2025 - Residents in permanent care may have to make an accommodation payment or contribution. Aged care providers must work out the correct amount of payment or contribution to charge based on the agreed room price, Services Australia advice and the payment method a resident chooses.
