On 28 January 2011, the Chair of the independent Review Panel, Dr Neal Blewett AC, officially presented the Final Report to the Hon Catherine King MP, Parliamentary Secretary for Health and Ageing, as the Chair of the Ministerial Council. The Final Report was publicly released on the same day.

Further information on the Review of Food Labelling Law and Policy, and the report Labelling Logic, can be accessed on the Food Labelling Review website.

The Commonwealth Government, State and Territory Governments and the New Zealand Government have worked together to develop a whole-of-Government response to the 61 recommendations provided in Labelling Logic.

In recognition of the extensive consultation already conducted by the independent Panel during the Review process, the Australian Government, State and Territory Governments and New Zealand Government jointly undertook targeted engagement with stakeholder groups on particular recommendations during August and September 2011.

On 9 December 2011, Legislative and Governance Forum on Food Regulation, which was launched this year and replaces the Ministerial Council, agreed its response to Labelling Logic. The response is available on the Food Labelling Review website.
