Title Specialist Palliative Care and Advance Care Planning Advisory Services Grant Opportunity
Description The Australian Government aims to support aged care providers and primary care providers in residential or community care settings to provide quality palliative care by funding advisory services on specialist palliative care and advance care planning.

The department is seeking applications for grant funding to provide innovative models of delivering the Advisory Services. The objective is to coordinate and deliver innovative models of specialist palliative care and advance care planning advisory services in all jurisdictions.

The establishment of innovative specialist palliative care and advance care planning advisory services aligns with the National Palliative Care Strategy 2010 – Supporting Australians to Live Well at the End of Life.

Total funding of up to $15 million (GST Exclusive) over three years (2017-18 to 2019-20) is available for the Specialist Palliative Care and Advance Care Planning Advisory Services grant opportunity, with services commencing in July 2017.

The legislative authority for grants under this Program is provided by Item 415.001 of Schedule 1AA of the Financial Management and Accountability Regulations 1997.
